Arika is a clinical registered dietitian and creator of Food Courage, where she incorporates her nutritional background and personal experience with Hashimoto's disease to support people living with autoimmunity.
When Arika started suspecting things weren't quite right with her health, doctor after doctor told her the all-too-typical, "you're fine," and "tests came back normal, so not much I can do." Finally, after years of strange symptoms, a miscarriage, seeing a GI doc, a neurologist, two rheumatologists, and countless tests, she finally receiced a diagnosis of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
Now, Arika combines her personal experience and professional background as a dietitian to help others with autoimmunity optimize their health. Arika provides clinical nutritional assessments for seniors at the National Healthcare Corporation (NHC) and shares healthy recipes and nutritional information on her educational blog Food Courage.
