Dr. Sharda Is a ABIM board certified Endocrinologist who has avid interest and extensive experience managing spectrum of thyroid disorders. He completed internal medicine residency at Atlantic Health-Overlook Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He completed his fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at Temple University Health Sciences, serving as chief fellow.Dr. Sharda focuses on providing comprehensive compassionate individualized evidence based care to patients with thyroid orders. He is a member of the American Thyroid association as well ECNU (Endocrine certification in neck ultrasound) certified in thyroid ultrasound and biopsies.Outside work, he likes to be involved in voluntary work with many cultural and social societies, likes to play sports like cricket and badminton and practice mindfulness which helps him to be more alive and aware of current situation.
Why I am passionate about treating patients with hypothyroidism:
As thyroid receptors involve almost every cell of our body, I am truly amazed about the spectrum of effects of thyroid hormones on a human body. It provides a deep sense of satisfaction for me as a treating physician when I can help improve hypothyroid patient symptoms and their overall quality of life.
My approach to treating hypothyroidism is:
I provide individualized care to treat not only the thyroid functions but other autoimmune symptoms which occur in hypothyroidism.
