Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, TSH, is the hormone responsible for controlling hormone production by the thyroid gland. TSH is considered the most sensitive marker for screening for thyroid diseases and conditions.
Free Thyroxine (fT4)
Normal to low
Free T4 is the predominant hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Level of this fluctuate when individuals have an over or under active thyroid gland.
Free Triiodothyronine (fT3)
Normal to low
Free T3 is a hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Levels of this fluctuate when individuals have an over or under active thyroid gland.
Reverse T3 (rT3)
Normal to low
Reverse T3 (rT3) is a biologically inactive metabolite of thyroxine (T4) formed by selective deiodination; the active thyroid hormone T3 is formed by removal of an iodine atom in the outer ring of T4, while rT3 is formed by removal of an iodine atom in the inner ring of T4
